National Voter Registration Act of 1993
The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 requires states to provide voter registration opportunities through state agencies, including public libraries, that provide public assistance and services. The intent of this requirement is to increase voter registration opportunities, encourage voter participation, and protect the integrity of the electoral process.
Become a National Voter Registration Day Community Partner
VoteLibraries is a proud partner of National Voter Registration Day, held on September 17, 2024. As a National Voter Registration Day community partner, your library can be at the center of civic engagement by hosting a voter registration drive, promoting voter registration on social media, or promoting a voter registration event to a network within your local community. Plus, your library will get access to promotional materials like stickers, posters, and custom resources.
